TEMPO · starting the job

Operational, at the right pace.

New country, new job: finding your place, asserting your leadership.

Finding the right tempo means tuning in to the country's rhythm without losing your own.

The reality

The essential codes are written down nowhere.

Joining an organisation abroad means getting up to speed fast. Knowing the local codes isn't enough: you also need to spot your own perception gaps, the ones that create misunderstandings.

What is really expected of me.
How decisions are made.
The management style expected.
How people say “no” here.

My approach

So we start with you.

A tempo is something you listen to and feel before adjusting to it to play with others. TEMPO is not a country guide to learn by heart: we start from your cultural background, your experience and how you react to the unexpected, so you can live and work there while staying yourself.

What the training makes possible

  • Becoming aware of your cultural bearings and how they filter your perception of the new country.
  • Identifying your gaps: what, in your expectations and interpretations, creates misunderstanding or discomfort.
  • Understanding the values, practices and attitudes of the host country, and their impact on professional and social life.
  • Strengthening communication and collaboration with your new colleagues.
  • Building your own way of working in the host country, combining your codes with the country's instead of setting them against each other.
  • Easing and speeding up your integration into your team and your role.

How it works

  • Concrete work situations specific to the host country
  • Intercultural analysis tools to decode what goes unsaid
  • Work on your own reactions to the unexpected
  • Practical tips to apply from the very first weeks

Who is it for?

Any internationally mobile talent, alone or with family:

settling in Belgium;
moving from Belgium to live and work abroad.

Format

½ day (4 hours) or 1 day (8 hours): the programme can be split into shorter sessions.

In person or remote. Content adapted to the host country, sector and role.

What you gain

The talent: a smoother start in the role, clear bearings, and the ease of finding your place without losing what makes you valuable.

The organisation: an employee who is operational sooner, better integrated, and a move that starts on solid foundations.

An exploratory call helps identify needs and circumstances. The core is shared; the objectives, structure and examples are adjusted to each person’s background, sector and family context.
